Determining Bed Tax Rate

Bed Tax is determined by each county's local municipality and can range from 2% to 6% depending on the size and needs of the county. 

Responsible Growth.

Uses of bed tax collections are limited by Florida State Statute 125.0104. The Walton County TDC - South Walton $59.2 million budget funds the following:  
35% - Marketing, Sales, Communications
25% - Administration
21% - Beach Nourishment / Infrustructure
12% - Events
7% - Beach Operations
